“No one has ever become poor by giving.” — Anne Frank
Date: 15th October 2025, Wednesday
🍁 The students of Class X visited Pertor Alayam (பெற்றோர் ஆலயம்) Old Age Home, located at Housing Board, Krishnagiri, with the objective of spreading kindness and learning the true essence of social responsibility.
🍁 The home houses 22 elderly residents, and the visit was centered around interaction, companionship, and care. The students engaged in heartfelt conversations with the residents, listening to their life experiences and offering emotional warmth. As a gesture of love and respect, the students presented gifts such as rice, fruits, bed sheets, and grocery items.
🍁 A touching moment of the visit was when the students humbly touched the feet of the elders—a cherished Indian tradition symbolizing reverence and gratitude. The elderly, in turn, blessed the students with affectionate words and heartfelt prayers for their success and happiness.
🍁 The entire experience was deeply meaningful, leaving a lasting impact on both students and teachers. The exchange of smiles, stories, and emotions fostered a sense of empathy, unity, and appreciation for the wisdom of the older generation.
🍁 Visits like these help young learners develop human values of compassion, gratitude, and selflessness. The day beautifully reminded everyone that even the smallest act of kindness can illuminate many lives and strengthen the bonds within our community.
