PONGAL CELEBRATION

"Pongal is a celebration of gratitude towards nature, farmers, and prosperity."
Today's assembly was a vibrant and meaningful celebration of the Pongal festival, reflecting the spirit of thanksgiving and cultural richness. The programme began with a regular prayer, setting a calm and positive tone for the day.

This was followed by the Thirukkural, Thought of the Day, Proverb, and other regular segments, all beautifully aligned with the Pongal theme, highlighting values of gratitude, unity, and respect for nature. The special talents segment showcased students' creativity and confidence through a thematic poem, a melodious song, and a vibrant dance performance, which vividly portrayed the joy and traditions of Pongal.

Adding depth to the celebration, a teacher's thought emphasized the importance of hard work and thankfulness, connecting the festival's message with students' daily lives. The assembly was further enriched by the Principal's address, which inspired students to value cultural heritage and develop gratitude in their thoughts and actions. The A. Co.' s address concluded the programme with encouraging words, appreciating the efforts of students and teachers.

Overall, the ground assembly conducted by Class VII A & B was a colourful, engaging, and well-coordinated celebration, making it both educational and festive.

தலைப்பு: “இன்றைய இளைஞர்களுக்கு பொங்கல் - பாரம்பரிய திருவிழா அல்லது மகிழ்ச்சிக்கான கால நிகழ்வு? ”
ஆதரவு அணி (பொங்கல் – பாரம்பரிய திருவிழா)
ஆதரவு அணியினர், பொங்கல் தமிழர்களின் பாரம்பரிய அடையாளம் என்று வலியுறுத்தினர். பொங்கல் என்பது  விவசாயத்தின் பெருமையைக் கூறும் திருவிழா ,  சூரியன், மாடு, இயற்கைக்கு நன்றி கூறும் நாள்,  குடும்ப உறவுகளை வலுப்படுத்தும் பண்டிகை
“பாரம்பரியத்தைக்  காப்பது  இளைஞர்களின்  கடமை” என்ற கருத்தை முன்வைத்தனர்.

எதிர்ப்பு அணி (பொங்கல் – மகிழ்ச்சிக்கான கால நிகழ்வு)
எதிர்ப்பு அணியினர்,   இன்றைய இளைஞர்களுக்கு, பொங்கல் ஒரு விடுமுறை  கால மகிழ்ச்சி என்றே மாறிவிட்டதாகக்  கூறினர்.
“பொங்கல் இன்று மகிழ்ச்சிக்கான விடுமுறை மட்டுமே” என்று  வாதிட்டனர்.

நடுவரின் தீர்ப்பு
இரு அணிகளின் கருத்துகளையும் கேட்டபின்,

பொங்கல்  பாரம்பரிய  திருவிழாதான்,  ஆனால்  இளைஞர்கள்  அதை  மகிழ்ச்சிக்கான  நிகழ்வாக  மாற்றிக்  கொண்டுள்ளனர்
எனவே மகிழ்ச்சியுடன்  கொண்டாடினாலும்  அதன்  பாரம்பரிய  அர்த்தத்தை மறக்காமல் காப்பது  அவசியம் என்று தீர்மானிக்கப்பட்டது.
